クルセイダースの｢ストリートライフ｣でNo1ヒット歌い手となったランディ・クロフォードと名ピアニストのジョー・サンプルのタッグ作品。
アルバムタイトル曲"Feeling Good"はニーナ・シモン､そしてビリー・ホリデイの"Tell Me More And More And Then Some"や､レオ・セイヤー"When I Need You"､等々の楽曲を見事に歌い上げるRandy Crawford、それを支えるのが、Christian McBride(Bass)とSteve Gadd(Dr)のリズム隊、もちろん全体の指揮はサンプルおじさんですが､まとめ役としてトミー・リピューマと共同プロデュースしているのもPOINT高しです。ギターには、ディーン・パークスとレイ・パーカー・ジュニアの名前もあり信頼の置けるミュージシャンとの作業はとても楽しいものであったことでしょう。
私は、このアルバムの中で「Rio de Janeiro Blue」が特に好きです。この曲は、Randy Crawfordのアルバム「Secret Combination」に収録されていた曲で、リオデジャネイロの美しい景色に圧倒され恋に落ちた女性の心情を表現した美しいナンバーです。
この曲を聴けば、貴女もきっとリオに行きたくなってしまうでしょう。
